Babar Azam, a core member and an illustrious player of the Pakistan national cricket team, announced his relinquishment of the captaincy on Tuesday by way of a lengthy and emotion ridden note on social media.
Azam gave his fans the updates in the following ways: “Now my dear fans its time to share some news with you.
Last month when I intimated the PCB and Team Management, I formally communicated that I wish to step down as the captain of the Pakistan men’s cricket team from such date as stated in this notification.”

This decision signals the conclusion of Azam’s reign as captain of the national side, who led the team in some key matches and tournaments.
There have been a lot of emotions pouring in from fans towards the announcement made without portraying much supportive attitude.
Lastly, the bolstering is over for the time being, but it can be argued that such a permanent position in the recent cricket pitcher is only a position for Azam as a K captain behind the remembrances.
As such, Azam has made it clear that even after such declaration, he does not retire from the national team aspiring to his batting skills in order to help Pakistan in cricket.
Here is his full statement:
“Leading this team has been a privilege for me but now it’s time for me to resign and concentrate on my playing status.
The captaincy has proven to be rewarding as expected, but it has also put an extra burden that I cannot imagine. I now want to refocus my energy on the performance, enjoy the act of batting and also have some relaxing time with my family who makes me happy.

In resigning, I will be able to proceed with good sense moving forward and be able to conserve more of my energy on playing basketball and on improving myself as a person.
I appreciate your commitment and support across the spheres. Your energy has been of great interest to me.
I feel satisfied about the outcomes that we have managed to achieve as a team and look forward to helping the team again as a player.
Thanks for the affection and concern.”
