The Emirates Cricket Board expressed gratitude to the UAE government and security plus transport authorities for their exceptional performance throughout the Dubai matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Under the lights of the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday night, India won the match before a full house of 25,000 spectators.
The ECB partnered with both the International Cricket Council and Pakistan Cricket Board to deliver an outstanding tournament in a limited timeframe which featured India competing against Bangladesh, Pakistan, New Zealand (on two occasions) and Australia leading up to Sunday’s thrilling final game.
The ECB expressed gratitude toward the UAE government and security and transport authorities for their complete support during the tournament delivery and acknowledged cricket fans for their enthusiastic response to all five matches at the Dubai International Stadium.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 matches in Dubai achieved resounding success. The Emirates Cricket Board experienced their ultimate success with a packed stadium last night which witnessed an enthralling final between the tournament’s top teams according to Subhan Ahmad, the ECB Chief Operating Officer.
The fans demonstrated exceptional support for every tournament match hosted at the Dubai International Stadium which greatly enriched the sport through their passion.
The UAE hosted its third ICC world event with the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 within a four-year time span.
The UAE government and security along with transport authorities demonstrated their usual leadership by supporting us throughout the tournament until a smooth execution while we remain grateful for their teamwork, Ahmad noted.
The ICC and PCB collaborated with the ECB to ensure the success of the event within a limited timeframe by leveraging the dedication of the venue team and the committed ECB staff who displayed great passion throughout the tournament.
