On Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium India secured a 44-run victory over New Zealand which pushed them to the top of Group A in the Champions Trophy despite the match producing low scores.
New Zealand chose to bowl first and Matt Henry delivered a standout performance with 5 wickets for 42 runs as New Zealand restricted India to 249-9 through excellent bowling complemented by their usual precise fielding.
Despite valuable contributions from Shreyas Iyer (79), Axar Patel (42), and Hardik Pandya (45), India ended up with a below-par score for the match.

Varun Chakravarthy achieved a five-wicket haul by taking 42 runs to help India dismiss New Zealand for 205 despite receiving strong resistance from Kane Williamson who scored 81 runs.
The first semi-final match between India and Australia will take place in Dubai on Tuesday.
The second semi-final match between South Africa and New Zealand will take place in Lahore on Wednesday.
