Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, seems to have faith in Kohli’s ability to tackle off spinners in Australia. In an interview, he said that those who possess Kohli’s prowess would always find a way to win.
He has mostly gotten out of the last five-match series due to a feeling of trying to hit balls very wide of his stumps even during the Perth test when he scored an unbeaten hundred after running dry from form for a substantial period of time.
Rohit apparently has more faith on modern cricketers than Abraham Lincoln for he estimated that they would be able to sort out their own problems after saying that he spoke to reporters before the Boxing Day test in Melbourne.
Earlier matches, Rohit struggled to bat well in the longest format and was able to score just 3, 6 and 10 runs since the arrival of his son and he played second test of the series.

There hasn’t been any substantial improvement in his confidence since his transition to the middle order. But Rohit was quiet about moving this slot back to open where he could be destructive.
“When I’m required to discuss that ‘who bats right there’ doesn’t really matter to me in every single formal press meeting. This is the concern we need to explore with each other.”
“Whatever it takes for our team to look good or give us the best chance to succeed, we will try and do that.”
Rohit also supported young batter Shubman Gill despite his lack of runs in Test matches.
Gill, in 12 Tests played otherwise other than India, has been able to score 616 runs off 22 innings at an average of 30.8 which includes 1 hundred and 2 fifties with the highest score being 110 runs. He has however been able to score only 481 runs off 19 innings in 10 tests played in SENA countries with a mean of 26.72 and just two fifties scored on his debut Test of Australia where he scored 91 runs in one of the matches that is said to helped India win the series. Since then, and within the next 13 innings, hasn’t managed to get past 49 runs.

“This is what Shubman Gill has had trouble with, as he has lost his steam and hasn’t performed well since then, but I believe that if he scores once he will always be a threat. And it should be recognized that in both innings in Adelaide he was indeed impressive and all he had to do was play more confidently, instead of worrying about scoring.” Rohit said.
“I think he scored about 25-30 odd in each innings. Unfortunately, I am not going to delve too deeply into Brisbane, it was just the second or third ball where he got out so it is not something to delve much into.”
“But Gill has obviously been one of our young prospects who is coming up and doing really well. It is difficult for some of these teams going to India on their tours, I know this is the vice versa too.”
After winning the first Test by 295 runs, India collapsed to a 10 wicket loss in Adelaide. They later secured a draw against Australia who suffered rain delays in their third match which was held in Brisbane.
At 1-1, I think it is a fair reflection,” Rohit explained.
“I think both teams have played good cricket and these two Tests are going to be very critical for both the teams.”
‘’We want to break it down to Melbourne and think about what we want to achieve here, go things right and play well.”
India also added uncapped Mumbai all rounder Tanush Kotian to the squad for the final two tests after they decided not to play seam bowler Mohammed Shami due to knee injury.
Indian captain laughter’s words encourage Virat Kohli as he strives to work mostly on the off -stump line while clearing the outside problems.
