Liverpool faced Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday and the results left Liverpool at the top of the table with an 8 point cushion against Manchester City while they still have one cut. The match witnessed a mature performance by Salah who contributed to a second-half comeback.
Towards the end of season Salah’s goal netted his tenth goal in the premier league and two goals in the second half to see the back of Southampton with a score of 3-2.
His hope that City would be in better shape seems unparalleled after losing three league games and having suffered a 4 nil humiliation by Tottenham. Now Liverpool have 31 points from 12 games compared to City who have 23 points.
Liverpool continued to maintain their position at number one with Szóbo creating opportunities for himself and other teammates as the team scored three goals.

Last season saw Manager Slot’s team collect a substantial lead, and continuing from the last season only points are expected from their rivals.
Troubles began for the Brewers when players attempted to push extras and make risky moves. Trying to hold the ball under pressure, Flynn Dowens passed it onto Szively and without marking came to the waiting position making both a score to 1-0.
“I had a couple of meetings before the game and we know they build from the back,” Szoboszlai recounted.
“At times, they do it perfectly, and at times they err, as was the case here. We did the pressing really well and scored the goal.
Southampton, however, was handed a lifeline minutes later as Andy Robertson fouled Tyler Dibling just outside the penalty area. The referee awarded a penalty kick, with VAR corroborating the conviction. The recording shows contact was made outside the area spanning an inch or two from the lines.
Despite being obstructed by Kelleher, Adam Armstrong was able to tie the game after stealing the jump shot’s rebound as it was his third in Southampton’s last four games.
The first one, East Coast Saviors, flipped the script around eleven minutes into the second half because of a terrific Dibling assist to Armstrong who was given space. The striker then passed the ball to Mateus Fernandes who extended the lead to 2-1.

That got Liverpool to respond and when Darwin Nunez only managed to miss Luis Diaz at the back post, Moses, taking matters to his own hands – scored Liverpool’s second goal to level the game.
The Egyptians showed good awareness when they reached a goal courtesy of Salah when he chased the ball over the top from Ryan Gravenberch and Alex McCarthy at that point was pretty high off his line, Moses took one touch for the ball to settle down and tapped it into the net.
The home side threw away their advantage after it marked the eighth time Southampton has made a mistake and therefore let the opponent score an easy goal which is a record for the season.
In the 83rd minute, Southampton was awarded a penalty for a handball by Yukinari Sugawara. Salah stepped up and confidently converted the spot kick, giving Sunderland three precious points.
