Liverpool overcame a first half deficit to beat Leicester City 3-1 at Anfield on Thursday and have a seven-point advantage at the top of the Premier League.
Stiff Leicester led 1-0 with a Jordan Ayew penalty in the sixth minute but then made love to themselves until Cody Gakpo scored a goal on the break.
Neither Leicester nor Liverpool were going to let this run out as they besieged Leicester from the start and led four minutes in, with Curtis Jones opening the scoring and Mohamed Salah finishing it off in the 82nd minute.

The win extended their run unbeaten in league to 13 matches and moved Liverpool to 42 points atop the table.
And they also have games in hand on second-placed Chelsea, who sit on 35, and third-placed Nottingham Forest, who sit on 34.
Leicester were first to silence Anfield crowd on a slick Liverpool evening when Stephy Mavididi’s run from left ended in a corner to Ayew who pulled the pin with his strength, over Andy Robertson and round him to volley.
A 25th-minute Robertson header bouncing off the post and a 45th-minute Salah shot with his left foot hitting the crossbar denied Robertson an apology.
Two minutes later, Gakpo got through on the left and curled a powerful curler past Leicester keeper Jakub Stolarczyk to equalise with a goal they deserved.
It is crazy but I thought we got off to a flying start,” Liverpool manager Arne Slot told reporters.
“But then one game when we overestimated it, it got a goal. You just need to fight back into the game and it was fantastic to come on and score the equaliser at the break”.

Jones’ strike came after Liverpool played the ball in small areas before Alexis Mac Allister’s square pass found the Englishman.
It took long for the VAR to review the goal, and as long again when Gakpo finished again in the 67th minute. That was eventually ruled offside.
Salah’s shot was another neat finish with his 100th home Premier League goal a classic cut inside from the right side, and then a fine finish across the face of the net.
‘You can’t say we are not. ‘But we have one thing that we do well, we play every game like a brand new game and that always makes us hungry and very hard working’, said Gakpo.
Leicester were in the relegation zone going into this game as Wolverhampton Wanderers moved above them on Boxing Day after their 2-0 home win over Manchester United.
Leicester were 14 points clear at the top, two points ahead of second bottom Ipswich Town despite a third league defeat in a row.
Liverpool host West Ham United on Sunday, and Leicester host champions Manchester City on the same day.
