Shane Lowry, the 2019 champion, is very much looking forward to coming back to the UAE after stating that he will participate in the ongoing DP World Tour powered by Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship from Fundamentals, the first tournament in the DP World Tour Play-Offs slated for November 7-10.
Lowry also took home that iconic Falcon Trophy in 2019, just six months prior to being crowned as a Major champion, first winning the Claret Jug at The 148th Open in the process.

Lowry will compete in the field with other three-time Major champions Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Adam Scott and Ryder Cup playing partner Tommy Fleetwood for the season’s 4th Rolex Series event at Yas Links.
The 37-year-old bade goodbye to 2024 with a brilliant performance that saw him record 13 top 20 world wide finishes including top 6 at The 152nd Open and US. PGA Championships as well as helping Rory Mc Ilroy win the Zurick classic as a pair at the PGA TOUR event among other notable achievements.
“I really look forward to the end of my season in the UAE commencing with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yas Links.” Lowry said. “Usually it is a very nice feeling to go back to half of the world where you have had success before and I hope I can finish this year in the way I want to – on a high note.”
In the last weeks of the season, the top-seeded players will return to the classic pairs in the championship format ulgi osad. As a result of ‘Back 9’ the 70th placement on the Race to Dubai rankings will understand the players who are available.
In the month long tournament scheduled to take place in November, the top 50 players will then play in the DP World Tour Championship.

Also confirmed for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is the Scottish Open champion Robert MacIntyre who represented Europe at the 2023 Ryder Cup, and Thriston Lawrence who currently is in 2nd Position in the Race to Dubai Rankings.
In addition to the high level golf competition conducted at Yas Links, there would be a well-rounded event schedule for the people of all ages with special programmes for very young children, and, the favourite Ladies Day and Family Day on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
