Defending champion Cherif Younousse and Qatar's Ahmed Tijan lived up to their legacy yesterday when they won their first two Pool-A matches (main draw) at the Doha Beach Volleyball Cup. The 13th-placed Qatari pair on the FIVB World Tour first vanquished Pavel Shustrov-Alexey Gusev's Russian team 2-0 (21-14, 21-17) at the Gharafa Beach Complex courts and defeated Joe El Azzi and Salba Chafic of Lebanon 2-0 later that evening (21-8 21-11).
