The IPL 2020 auctions were held in Kolkata on December 19. A total of 62 players were sold for a combined purse expense of 140.30 crores. It was a big day for Australian cricketers and the pacers in general who ruled the roost in the auctions. Pat Cummins was the most expensive signing at the auctions roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 15.5 crores. Piyush Chawla was the most expensive Indian player who went to Chennai Super Kings for 6.75 crores.
